Vanta recently released their MCP server that allows an agent to query data from Vanta. For example you can use the agent to chat with your data and ask questions about frameworks, tests, and controls. I used Mastra to build an agent that connects to the Vanta MCP server and I used the Mastra playground to chat with my data.
Here’s an example:
The tools the server comes with are get_tests, get_test_entities, get_frameworks, get_framework_controls, get_controls, and get_control_tests. It’s early, but hopefully more will get added that allow us to ask questions about policies or add passing controls to the Trust Center.
