It started out small. We started with chatGPT and playing around with an AI tool here and there, but slowly and surely AI Agents are becoming an integral part of our everyday work.
A great example of this is coding agents. Agents like Claude code are being used by developers every day to 10x their productivity. I myself have been enjoying using Claude code and it’s getting harder to imagine not using it. It’s like having another engineer on my team, and for a team of 1 (at the moment) that’s pretty neat.
The future of work looks like:
> commanding an agent or fleets of agents
> verifying they did their task correctly
> having agents learn from feedback and optimize the web, code bases, or whatever they iterate over for agent consumption
Leonard Tang, CEO of Haize Labs, captured this shift perfectly in a recent LinkedIn post: "Human labor will invariably shift from producing artifacts to verifying AI-generated ones." This assertion is both powerful and prescient.
We're already witnessing this transition with AI-generated videos and photos that have become so sophisticated we can barely distinguish them from reality. This creates a dual challenge: it's not only a significant societal problem but also a major barrier to AI adoption in business contexts.
Consider the practical implications: if I can't verify Claude Code's output or trust it to securely interact with my proprietary codebase, I simply can't use it. Yet the cost of not using these tools is extraordinarily high. Companies that fail to adopt AI due to trust concerns will inevitably lose ground to competitors who have solved the Trustworthy AI puzzle.
Trustworthy AI is table stakes for companies looking to reap the benefits of both external and internal facing AI systems. We have to build AI that is explainable, on-topic, aligned with company goals, and verifiable. If you’re selling an AI product expect more questions in sales cycles related to Trustworthy AI.
If you're unsure where to begin your trustworthy AI journey, we can help you take the first steps. We can help you add custom AI Security controls to your Vanta Trust Center or run an AI Security Gap Assessment for you so you can build Trustworthy AI into your technical roadmap.
Companies are looking to buy AI that will transform their business and it’s the startups that are selling Trustworthy AI that will win those deals.
